The new climbing facility "Wondergarden" with playground equipment from Berliner Seilfabrik opened in 2017 right at the entrance area of the Bobbejaanland amusement park which has more than 40 attractions and opened in the early 1960s.
The different rope and tree house elements of the Berliners are combined on an area of 500 m² in a diverse way so that there is something for every children’s age group.
The highlight is the so-called PentaBoo, a tree house at a height of almost five metres, which at the same time is the top of a fivefold harnessed middle mast. A three-dimensional climbing net serves as the only ascent.
The play area, which is aimed at smaller children, has two large nest swings, a merry-go-round and a curved balancing pole as well as a small tree house "Trii" adjacent to a custom-made climbing platform with a slide.
Due to the warm colours of reddish brown and pastel green of the posts, the beige rope colour as well as panels made of bamboo, the system fits perfectly into the natural environment.
From the spatial net, the connection leads on to via a low ropes course to further playground equipment of the Berliners. Here the function of the Wondergarden within the park structure of the Bobbejaanland becomes particularly clear: it is an interactive playground that encourages children to exercise and is thus a suitable complement to the electronic rides.
