It is with great joy that we introduce to the Berliner family – IKO! This investment involves no major planning, delivery is fast, and installation straightforward.
The IKO is structured around an Icosahedron – one of the five Platonic Solids discovered by the Greek Philosopher Plato in 360 B.C. It's ironic that the Icosahedron is associated with the element of Water – symbolizing movement, flow, and change – as the IKO's design allows freedom of expression and creativity, offering infinite options while playing and climbing within the spatial net.
Invented by Berliner’s Company Owner Karl Kohler and patented in 2005, the IKO consists of an outer frame and ropes rigged within that outer frame, forming a spatial net, which is attached in a tensionable manner to specific node points on the outer frame. As with all of the play equipment manufactured by Berliner, the IKO is easy-care and low-maintenance, minimizing follow-up costs.
The cloverleaf ring is the only connecting element that makes it possible to exchange individual rope lines on the spot. Patented for over 20 years, these rings are specially manufactured from high-quality, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy.
The spatial netting is made of polyester-coated steel cables, manufactured in-house with the highest quality standards and technical specifications.
Since all assemblage points and bars are the same and no concrete foundation is required, installation is straightforward, even for non-professionals.
IKO complies with the safety standard for playground equipment (ASTM F1487) and is certified by the TÜV Product Service.
Our IKOs offer maximum climbing fun in three different sizes based on an Icosahedron. The large colorful spatial net offers plenty of room on a small footprint.
